This year like any other year we are not celebrating V day. So I've come up with ways not to celebrate it. First off let's start off with the obvious. Do not go to a fancy restaurant or any restaurant for that matter. I have a Melting Pot gift card from December 2009 and we wanted to use it last weekend but why on earth did the Melting Pot start their Valentine's dinner fixed menu last week, we had to make a credit card or cash deposit . . . puh lease. A week before Valentine's day? It's because they don't care about you and just want your money. Needless to say we did not go and probably won't go for another 4 years. Avoid the movies. In 2008 one of my girlfriend's and I went to see Step up 2 on Valentine's day, we were both in relationships at the time but living in Miami alone so we decided to go to the movies. Bad idea. The theater was full of teenie boppers on dates. Avoid buying gifts on or before Valentine's day. You want me to get you a gift? Oh ok, I am going to go to Target on February 15th and get it on sale. Better yet I am going to go to Target on February 15 and buy this year and next year's gift on sale. That's what my mom does with wrapping paper. Always buys after Christmas.
Ok so what can you do? This year V day falls on a Friday. You can have a karaoke party. Granted people have to leave their house but if it's at your place then people can just show up in sweats and have a great ole' comfy time. Here are two machines to choose from GPX Karaoke System with 5" Black-and-White Monitor or The Singing Machine. Another thing you can do is bake A better than sex cake 2 because what else is better than sex on Valentine's day other than a delicious chocolate cake?! Yes, that orgasmic feeling is amazing but how long can it possible last . . . an hour or two then I'm maxed out man but cake . . . cake will last for at least 2 days. You could also go to the gym, I bet it will be empty. The perfect time to start on that resolution. You can also have a game night, Cards against humanity, Cranium, Pictionary, Apples to Apples, Dirty Minds . . . to name a few.
