Baby makes 4!

Tuesday, December 22, 2015

It's been so long since I've blogged but I will be better about it . . . so to get back into the swing of things I decided to post some of our recent family/pregnancy photo shoot.  This year our Christmas card doubled as our pregnancy announcement.  Diana Simonetta took our photos and we could not have been happier.  She was so good at getting Niko to focus and look at the camera and she got really good shots of him.  I especially liked how efficient she was, the shoot took about an hour and she got so many good shots.  She's very professional and very nice and sweet.  I kept emailing her and she was so good at responding . . . during the Thanksgiving holiday! She was amazing.  She took our pictures at Hermann Park in late afternoon.  We were very happy with the finished product.

I am 20 weeks along and we feel very blessed and are so excited for Niko to have a little sibling!

On Me: For love & lemons lace maxi, Luau dress
On V: Zegna shirt, Theory trousers, Belt
Hair and make up: Me.  I actually had to do my make up in the car as I did not have enough time to get it done before closing, that was the same day we closed on our new house!
On Niko: eye chart big brother shirt (Etsy)

Leather and Lace

Friday, April 18, 2014

Last night V and I went out on our first date night sans baby.  The night consisted of dinner and drinks at Federal grill then a stroll around downtown Houston.  It's a bit chilly but it's spring so I paired a faux leather burgundy dress with a white and gold lace blazer and nude sandals.  I thought the pairing of the two textures was an appropriate representation of the type of weather we've been having.

What was most exciting about this outfit is that it was all under $100.  The dress was purchased at Nordstrom Rack, the blazer at TJ Maxx and the sandals are from Marshall's.  The total cost of the outfit was $94.98.  The dress was purchased in December, the blazer was from 2 years ago and the shoes were a gift from my sister on my birthday.  OOTD details below.

I still can't believe I'm a mom!
