Weekend woes

Have you ever been so tired you find yourself talking and don't know what you're saying?  That was me on Saturday. I got off work at 5. Got home at 6. Fell asleep at 7 and woke up at 11:34 PM!!! Saturday was officially done. I had so many things to do! Sunday will be a lot better, I thought. Wrong. It started out great. Woke up, cleaned and organized like I was supposed to. We are moving out of our apartment at the end of the month and next week we're going on vacation. So today was vital. Ok, everything was going well until I got extremely over whelmed! Who knew I owned so much stuff?! I needed a break.  So where did we go?  The mall. I returned two dresses. Had my eyebrows done. Got some coffee. Then I ended up in Bloomingdales. How I love Bloomies. I only bought two things . . . from Chanel. Don't worry just make up. We had dinner then came home. Nice little day. Except now I'm super tired and can't wait for Drop Dead Diva to come on. Hope everyone's weekend was a lot more productive than mine.  On a good note I got to wear my new DIY jeans!

DIY: Reach for the stars

I love Current/Elliot Jeans.  For the last few months I've been lusting over The White Star Stiletto jean.  I decided to purchase them a few weeks ago but I reconsidered.  I don't know how much use I'll get out of them to be honest.  It's been so hot lately and the last thing I want to wear are jeans.  So I decided to make my own.  Yessss finally a DIY project I can post.  I even made the stencils! I rummaged through my closet and found a pair of jeans that resemble the fit and the wash of the inspiration jeans.  I printed a paper star from the internet, traced it over cardboard several times then cut out the shapes.  BAM! Stencils.  I took a spray bottle and filled it with 3/4 water and 1/4 bleach.  Then I placed the stencils over the jeans and sprayed the area.  I sprayed the front and the back.  I let the jeans air dry for 15 minutes then washed and dried them.  What do you guys think?  I think I'll wear them tomorrow!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday America. Our 4th of July Celebration was fun. We had friends over and watched the fire works from our balcony. It was nice. We live in a condo so V bbqed from a stove top grill. :) Hope everyone had a safe holiday! Our burger cake was a big hit! My punch was supposed to be blue but turned out green.
