Obsessed!

I am currently obsessed with the thought of a new bag. . . and a new a lot of things.  I have not had this feeling in a while.  I think the last bag I purchased was my Celine Mini luggage in June 2012.  That's a long time ago. I have yet to find the perfect bag and I don't think V would approve the purchase at this time.  I've bought some handbags but not any big price tag ones.  I bought a Rebecca Minkoff back pack last summer but I think that's about it. 

Here's what I am thinking . . . that's it.  Not a ton of stuff.  I tend to navigate towards the same color palette every time! Gray, white, black, navy.  Classics.  I should add more color to my closet.  I wear a lot of bright colors too but I don't splurge on them or purchase them often.  What do you think?  The Givenchy and Valentino have been on my mind for a while maybe it's time . . . we'll see what Baby K thinks once he gets here, my two best accessories . . . my two men V and Baby K.  Perfect!

New Year's Eve

I have no idea what to wear tonight! We are hosting a New Year's Eve party and I need to look fab! Every year for the last 6 years we have spent celebrating the New Year at a club somewhere but this year since most of our friend's in the DC area have kids and three of us are pregnant we decided to host a party instead.  We have a yummy menu lined up and great drinks and of course tons of mocktails (I'll be posting recipes later) .  So, what to wear? These are the looks I am considering . . . they are all very flattering on my pregnant belly, even the jumpsuit which is one of my favorites! Last year I wore a sequined jumpsuit though so I am trying to avoid a similar look . . . stay tuned tomorrow and find out what I wore.

I'm super excited for JTs concert tonight in Houston.  Seeing that Tom Ford designed JT's wardrobe I think it's only fit that V dress accordingly but he doesn't want to! He wants to wear jeans and a hoodie which is fine I suppose.  I on the other hand have three outfits to choose from.  It depends on how I feel when I get home and how much time I have to get ready.  It's supposed to drop 15 degrees by the time 5 PM hits so that changes everything. If I had my way he would choose from the following 3 outfits for tonight's event.  He has that European thing going for him so he looks great in fitted, tailored clothing. Anyhow, he dresses perfectly fine now but this is a "for instance".   What do you think? I'd probably do the look for dress since these items are pretty pricey but then again it's OK to splurge once in a while right?  I guess you're going to have to wait and see what we decide to wear.

J. Lo

 

This weekend I'm attending a J. Lo inspired birthday party. A dear friend of mine turns 30. Oh, to be young again. I'm 31 but feel 38. My body dramatically changed after 31. DRAMATICALLY. I have cellulite now that I can't get rid of and I have 18 gray hairs. The night before my 31st I only had 3. 3!

Anyway. Here's a J. Lo inspired board. I'm not sure if I want to replicate a J. Lo look or just wear something she would wear. It has to be something bold . . . or demure, a head turner. I have 5 days to squat it out and get my behind in tip top J. Lo shape or I might just wear some padding. I prefer the latter.
