This weekend we celebrated a friend's wedding in Greensboro, NC. It was such a great time. V and I were very impressed with the hotel, the Proximity. It is the first Platinum LEED hotel in the US. According to the hotel's website the hotel was built to use 40% less energy and 30% less water than a comparable hotel. The elevators are hybrid and the hotel has 100 solar panels on the roof to generate energy to heat the water. They also used regional vendors when building the hotel to reduce transportation and packaging. This hotel is seriously cool and it's the only one in the country. Check out their
website and be impressed! I absolutely loved it and the wedding was a fabulous event. We were only in Greensboro for a day but it was a day that we wouldn't have missed!
